Congratulations to all our graduates, families and supporters. It was another packed house at the beautiful Fauntleroy Hall where we came together as a community to honor the Middle College High Point Class of 2014. A special recognition and thank you to School Board Director Marty McClaren for attending our graduation and her ongoing support of MCHS HP. We also want to thank the West Seattle Blog for once again covering our graduation and keeping the community informed about the great things happening at MCHS HP. To our graduates, we hope you chase your dreams through education, community involvement and family. Don’t forget to send us your pictures so we can post them on our blog!

First Garden Harvest, Our Students Donate to the West Seattle Food Bank.
The students at Middle College High Point, as part of their service learning curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking, social justice and community engagement, have adopted two garden plots in the High Point Commons p-patch. This ongoing service learning project allows MCHS HP students to learn about the many benefits of organic gardening while producing healthy food to donate to the West Seattle Food Bank. This project is about much more than gardening, it is about health, community building, service and justice.
Middle College students honored by High Point Neighborhood Association and Keep High Point Green!
Students at Middle College High Point were honored today by the High Point Neighborhood Association and Keep High Point Green with certificates of appreciation and adoption. The certificate of appreciation highlights the great work our students have accomplished through their service learning projects in the High Point Commons Park. The certificate of adoption recognized the partnership between Middle College High School at the High Point Center and Keep High Point Green. This partnership between MCHS HP and the High Point community will continue and grow in the future.
